Callum Park

 

Okay, so the other day I went to see my friend in Balmain, and it was crazy hot, like 39 degrees! We mostly stayed inside, but later, when it cooled off a bit, she took me to Callum Park. I'd always driven past it, but wow, I had no idea how huge it was or that it used to be a mental hospital. 

Remember those "Hands Off Callan Park" signs from when I lived in Leichhardt? Now I totally get it, especially since the government's planning changes. Glad I got to see it before they mess with it – it's a really beautiful place!
